TBMC meeting will be held on January 9, 2023 at Seasons 52, 204 North Westshore Blvd., Tampa, FL Note the change of date, the first Monday is the 2nd day of January, the day after New Year’s. It was voted to change our meeting to the 2nd Monday of January, on the 9th.

Dues for 2023:
It was voted to increase the dues to $75.00, from $50.00 a year. This is the first increase of our dues in 14 years, and necessary to help cover our basic operating expenses. To renew your 2023 dues, you can either renew on the TBMC Web page [Completing the renewal application with your up-to-date information. This is important so you will receive the newsletter, and keeping your information up to date. Print your information on the application, include your check payable to Tampa Bay Mariners Club. Mail to TBMC, P.O. Box 13255, Tampa, FL.
While it is on your mind, please pay your dues ASAP. Make it easier for our Purser and Yeoman.
January’s speaker:
Art Campbell, CPCU, ARM, AMIM, his topic is The Hard Market, and How to Prepare Your Clients. He will share his 50 years as a commercial producer, and his lessons learned from a Hard Market. This will be especially of interest to agents, brokers, and underwriters.
February’s speaker:
Sheryl Johnson with Chubb Insurance, speaking on Bareboat (Demise Charter) Chartering from an Underwriters Perspective. She will also distinguish a Voyage Charter and, a Time Charter from a Bareboat charter. Geno Butto, Esq gave an interesting talk earlier from an admiralty attorneys viewpoint.
